Hanna Mesko
“This too shall pass.” - King Solomon
Hanna Mesko hails from state of Ohio but moved to the Fort Drum area with her husband a few years ago. Ever since she was a child, she has wanted to be involved in some facet of veterinary medicine. Now, with two dogs of her very own, that interest has reignited. A recent bout of an involved illness for her younger dog gave her a newfound appreciation for the field, and she wanted to learn more in order to be able to medically help animals herself!
When asked why she chose The Animal Doctors, Hanna said that she could feel the team’s close-knit, family-like connection, which was what she was looking for. She was also looking for that “small, hometown vet” vibe, which she found here.
Hanna has two beautiful German Shepherds of her own, a young adult named Maya (born on Valentine’s Day) and a puppy (born in 2025) named Chief. When she isn’t working, she loves going for walks and hikes with her dogs and spending time with her husband. She also enjoys facetiming with her family back home and coloring for stress relief.
Hanna is training as a client service representative and a veterinary assistant and has dreams of studying to become a licensed veterinary technician. She is an incredibly fast learner, is down-to-earth, and is passionate about providing exceptional care to our patients and the clients they belong to.
A fun fact about Hanna is that she is a Cleveland Browns football fan. She said that she will always be a fan, despite being let down and disappointed every season! She is also a Green Bay Packers fan, which will make our LVT Shannon happy to hear!
If you could leave one piece of information for every pet parent, what would it be?
I will always care for your animals as if they’re my own because I know how important and special pets are to us.
