Lily Foster

“No rain, no flowers.” - Vi Keeland

Lily Foster, originally from the NYC area, came to Watertown at the age of 13 and graduated from South Jefferson Central School.  She entered the veterinary medical field as a veterinary assistant and client service representative shortly thereafter!  She began working as a veterinary assistant in 2020, a tumultuous year for the profession as a whole as everyone was navigating how to see patients while practicing social distancing at the same time!  However, that didn’t stop Lily from learning the ropes of the field and becoming a fantastic veterinary assistant!  She loves helping and working with animals, and she enjoys learning all that she can about the field of veterinary medicine.  She enjoys helping with wellness cases, complicated cases, and everything in between!

When asked why she chose The Animal Doctors, Lily said that she loves the team’s morals and working with a small, tight-knit group of people.

Lily has trained as both a client service representative and a veterinary assistant. She is very kind and courteous to our clients both in the clinic and on the telephone. She is quick to jump in and help a team member or client without being asked. She is a great time-keeper and keeps whichever doctor she is working with on time as much as possible, making our team more efficient as a whole! Her down-to-earth and compassionate nature puts both our clients and their pets at ease. She has a love for learning about this profession and understanding why things are done the way that they are - she asks excellent questions and has great ideas to share! She also has a keen sense of understanding what her teammates need before they realize it themselves and often says, “We’ve got this!”

When she’s not loving on puppies and building up her teammates, Lily enjoys reading, kayaking, and exploring other outdoor activities with her husband and son. She is a Golden Doodle lover through and through! When she’s not spending time with her sweet, male Golden Doodle “Finn,” she’s loving up on one of our client’s Golden Doodles! However, we must not allow Finn to overshadow the kitties that Lily also has at home - Callie and Brown Callie. Remember, cats rule and dogs drool! This is especially a true sentiment for calico cats! A fun fact about Lily is that, even though she is allergic to bees, she has honey bees on her property!

If you could leave one piece of information for every pet parent, what would it be?
